“Girl, Wash Your Face” by Rachel Hollis

I’m sure most of you have heard of this book. After being on the waitlist at the library for over a month, I secured the book and read it in three days. It’s an easy read, funny read, and hard-hitting read. Rachel is an engaging storyteller and not afraid to talk about the hard stuff. I typed in “Gi” on Amazon to search for this book and it was the second on the list (right behind Gift card for Amazon). Rachel talks about how you might feel as if everyone else is put together, when in reality, that’s a lie! Well, in most cases anyway. It’s a great read!

Rise Together Podcast

To go along with #2, this podcast is Rachel Hollis with her husband Dave talking about life as a couple. They have great topics, motivating ideas, and they are just sweet…but real. They certainly don’t sugar coat married life!

“Wrecked” on TBS

EJ and I have been clinging to this show for the last couple of months. It was the only thing we watched together this summer on the tv off-season. Except “The Vanilla Ice Project”, but the kids love that so it doesn’t count. This show is a put-the-kids-to-bed and watch kind of show. It’s about a flight that goes off course and crashes and the experiences of the passengers. Think “Lost”, but a comedy. I know, that’s hard to imagine, but it’s actually pretty good.

Bose Bluetooth Speaker

I asked EJ for my last Friday Favorite and he suggested our Bose speaker. He said, “It’s the best purchase I’ve made in years.” We’ve had our speaker for a few years now and it sits on our desk in our kitchen/dining room/living room (I honestly have no idea what room our desk is in). We’ve also taken it camping, boating, on our patio when we’re chillin’ with friends…really, anywhere you want to listen to music. You can buy one here, I’m 90% sure it’s the same or at least similar to ours. Christmas is coming up ladies!
